Kaleb's Big Night Out
Kaleb had a little bit of an unfortunate event at day care involving the "wheels on the bus" dance and cutting his eye with his helicopter. So what better way to take his mind off of "things" than to take him to the Mariner's Game. He is had a rough couple of weeks with injuries, finger in the fan, scuffed elbow at the dog park and now his eye... poor guy!
At least he had fun at the game and they WON too!!!!!!

Update, but no pictures... at least not right now...
Hi all! So it's been a while, but let me just say that I can't seem to get enough hours out of everyday. I am still in school and it's nothing new, but it seems like I get home from work, and eat, clean and sleep. But we are working on a more structured schedule and it seems to be getting better. Kaleb is still in preschool and Ricky and I couldn't be happier, he is continuing to change everyday and it seems like he is getting smarter every second. The other day, he was int he car saying "cookie, cookie" so I said, do you want a cookie? He promptly says... "no" in his sweet little voice. I couldn't help but laugh hystarically. He is just so funny. Joshua is doing great! He is gaining weight faster and faster, since the last time that he was weighed, he had gained a total of 3 pounds in 2 months!! He sure can eat. Just like his daddy, that is for sure. Anyways, we are doing well and are very happy. More to come once I found out where I can get some more time. Love you all!!!

More Firsts...
Kaleb's First Day of Preschool was on Thursday (his birthday). His teachers said that he had a good first day and we are so proud of him. His birthday was spent at his new school, with me at work (the Girl's threw me a baby shower), and then we decided that we would come home for a nap and hit up Chuck E Cheese's. We all had a great time, but about 2 hours into it, Kaleb had enough. He was lathargic and walking like a little zombie. So we went home. Come to find out, he has a fever of 104.3! Yikes, down went some Tylenol and off to bath and bed he went. Today we had another first for Kaleb. His first REAL hair cut. We have been giving him hair cuts about every month or so since he was about 4 months old! But since it is his birthday party tomorrow, we decided it was time to give it a shot. There were tears of course, but he did really well and I think we will make this a monthly thing now. He is getting so big, it is hard to believe that 3 years ago, I wasn't even out of the hospital with him yet. Time flies way too fast. And now I understand why moms have such a hard time letting their "babies" go. Here are a few pictures of Kaleb's BIG days!!

Easter Egg Hunt
Julie called last night and asked if we wanted to join her on base with the kids for their Easer Egg Hunt. I wasn't too sure about whether I wanted to go or not, until this morning when we woke up and Kaleb was full of energy. I thought to myself... perfect for him to burn off some steam. So Kaleb and I got dressed and off we went. He had a great time, but he wasn't too sure on if he liked the Easter Bunny or not. Here are some of my favorites...

Joshua
Joshua had his 2 week well baby check on Monday and his new weight is... 8 pounds 6 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches long!! He lost a total of 9 ounces and gained that and some more back! He is such a little piggy. We are happy of course that he is gaining weight so well and that he doesn't have the feeding problems like Kaleb did. I will take some pictures when Joshua decides to stay awake for more than 15 minutes (when he eats). Stay tuned!!!!!!

He's here!!
As probably all of you know, Joshua is here! I was induced on March 7th around 8am. And he was born at 4:07pm. He was 8 pounds even and 20 inches long. He is such a bid boy. I can hardly believe that he was 8 pounds. Imagine what he would have been if he was inside for another week!! Pictures coming soon....

my appointment
I had an appointment on Friday. And my doctor stripped my membranes. He also said that if I don't have the baby by Saturday, he is going to induce me since he is on call that day. My mom and sister are planing on coming out here, but since the airfare is SO expensive, they may not come right away. We will see though.

since the last time
The latest news with the Koza household...
1.) Ricky got taken off of the IA alternate list (THANK GOD)!!! So he isn't leaving the end of April like we thought, he may have to go sometime in the future but at least it isn't right now, we can deal with that when and if that time comes.
2.) As of last Friday I am dilated to 1 1/2 centimeters. I have another appointment this Friday. I will let everyone know what happens.
3.) We went to see Thomas and Friends on Monday at the Everett Event Center. Kaleb loved it. Not quite as much as Mickey Mouse but he was definitely into it because the whole way home he was screaming CHO CHO and then we got stuck behind a real train and it was pretty much all over after that.
4.) Kaleb has been evaluated twice to see if he qualifies for the Marysville School District's Developmental Preschool.... well he qualifies for speech therapy but nothing else (as of now) so he wouldn't be in the preschool full time only for therapy once or twice a week. We'll see, it is good and bad news, it is great that he is making such awesome progress but at the same time I want him to get as much help as possible and that means he needs to be in the preschool. So we will see.
5.) Kaleb's new phrase is "aa bot" which means "all aboard" and "a puppy" Our neighbors got a puppy on Valentine's Day and he hasn't been able to go one day without obsessing over seeing "a puppy".
That seems to be it for now... I will write more later.
P.S. We didn't get very good pictures at Thomas the Train sorry, they aren't even worth putting up because they are only of the stage, nothing of Kaleb. They were really strict on using the flash and since it was so dark in there, we couldn't get any really worth it ones of Kaleb's face.

Before the Super Bowl...
Back in December (before the Steelers were going to the SB), we got tickets to see Playhouse Disney Live at the Everett Event Center. It just so happened that Mickey was coming to Everett on February 1st! The show started at noon and Ricky and I were hoping that this went better than when we went to see Sesame Street Live (bad memories). Turns out a year is a lot of time to grow up, because Kaleb loved it. So much we are going to see Thomas the Train on the 23rd of February. So here are a few pictures of our big day! Patiently waiting.....
The main event.....Can't keep my eyes off of the stage....The best part!!

The whole show had Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins, Handy Manny and My Friends Tigger and Pooh. We had a good time and are thankfull that Kaleb was excited to see the whole thing. We stayed for the WHOLE show and he didn't even fuss once! He is getting SO big :)

Update on the baby...
Just so you all know... I have passed my 3 hour glucose tolerance test. Because I was gestational with Kaleb I had to get tested early (around 20 weeks) and to no surprise I failed my one hour, so I challenged the three hour, and I passed. But because that was early I had to take it again at 28 weeks. Well same story here, I failed my one hour and passed my three hour. I am so relieved that I don't have to worry about having the horrible disease.
We still haven't come up with a name yet, but I am starting to give in to Ricky and actually am starting to think that I really like Kameron. So that is probably going to be his name. I am 31 weeks now and wish that the last 9 weeks would just hurry up.
I have to start physical therapy next week because my left hip is killing me. It gets so bad at night that Ricky has to walk behind me up the stairs so I don't fall back. And he rotates my leg around to stretch it out and get it loose again. I sure hope that this isn't going to last forever and goes away once the baby is born!
Another note, Ricky and I are in school! We are both taking a math class at Everett Community College. He goes every day for 50 minutes and I go M and W for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Since it is the same class but different teachers, it is easier to understand the lessons and really grasp the concepts. I will be taking next quarter off, and Ricky might or might not. But we will be back at it in the summer.
Take care all, and as Ricky would say... "GO STEELERS!!"
